Black jax in Birdsboro

1st time ordering from here. I got the Shepard pie, little different from what I'm used to, but otherwise was really good. Very friendly staff when I arrived to pick up my order. We were looking for a new place to order from, and they did a great job. Let's all support our local business during this time and Thank them.

I had to update my review. Why are you always out of food!? During broad daylight! The outdoor space is great but it’s not worth the repetitive let downs.

Decent place to grab a bite and some drinks but staff is always an iffy. Like all bars it has a high turnover and with that comes slow staff (in training and what not). But it's local to us and nice enough. Wish they'd just stop switching management.

I stopped in for the first time a few days ago, first person I saw was the owner. He greeted me, got my takeout, chatted with me as I check out. The food was good and cooked well. Next time I want to eat in with an empty stomach so I can sample the whole menu!

Lauren was the bartender and she was very nice, I tried her drink that she created and it was excellent. I definitely will be going back.

Love this place! Wow the food! We had an amazing time and they accommodated a large group of us at the last minute. Chef Peter was gracious and really has turned the place around with his fresh food and homemade sauces. Best wings I have had in a really long time. The drinks are also fun and delicious! We will definitely be making this a regular spot. Thank you!

The food we had for nephews welcome home from army party was excellent. Appetizers & fruit on stick were delishiousness. Waitress staff was very friendly. Kudos to chef. Cheese steak things were excellent.

This was the worst experience I've ever had anywhere, period. Over 40 patrons with only waitresses. We were told sorry for the long wait and overcooked food but we have a new line cook. We've always wanted to try this place but now realize we weren't missing anything. Tried to talk to management but conveniently non available. Very disappointed as we love supporting local small businesses. Will never be back.

Nice ambiance but food quality and service has dropped. $0.50 upcharge for sauces that make your dry food edible. We used to rant and rave about this place, telling our friends to check it out. This unfortunately will be our last time here.

This would have been fine starts but......We had nachos and prime rib. Food was excellent. The bartender are not mixologists there so stick to beer and shots. Here's the but. We eat wings everywhere we go. I ordered three orders of different flavored wings to go and they were over done. Like chewing on number 2 pencils. Worst of all, they didn't put lids on the blue cheese cups so I had three orders of blue cheese wings. It's a shame too.

Excellent food and even better service. Been there about a half dozen times and each experience has been more pleasant than the last.

The food is very good, but they seem to have some issues with wait staff. If you sit at a booth it takes a long time for someone to come and help you after you sit down. If you sit at the bar you are helped much faster.

If you haven’t been here you’re missing out! The food is good! Ask for Maddie, she is our favorite server! Always great service and always with a smile! Come out and see for yourselves.

This is the first time we tried BlackJax. We will be back. We started off with pub fries and then had the prime rib. It was delicious. The staff are friendly and courteous. The owner welcomed us too. I'll try something different tomorrow.

Good food, nice atmosphere from casual on the enclosed deck to the dining room to the beautiful reception room available for rent. The food is very good and I can't complain about the service.

Stopped in for lunch while passing through, and a very welcome surprise. Very courteous service from a young lady at the bar who also made excellent recommendations. Very good food at a fair price.

We were there for drinks only! Bartender was amazing. He made us feel very welcome! Drink prices were great! It was dead because of the heat but I can imagine this place gets packed on the weekends! And I see why. Really nice at atmosphere!

Family dinner, location dictated this establishment. Only one waitress serving entire place, long wait for food but it tasted better than expected and was worth the wait.

Well....... went a month ago... with my family... and we sat down and the waitress.. completely ignore us...10 minutes go by...then 5 minutes...( I'm pretty sure you get it)... mind you other people are getting served..and we were there before them...I had to go to the bartender to get us a drink... finished the drink.. and left..

Restaurant didn't follow CDC guidelines. Addressed concerns with restaurant, and they admitted staff even COOKS are not required to wear masks. I worked with cook in the past at Friendlys and saw him exit kitchen without mask. Manager stated they only suggest that their staff follow CDC guidelines. Also waitress brought dirty high chair to table and it was not sanitized (sticky and visible crumbs). We had to suggest to her to sanitize it. Really??? It was our first time to a restaurant since March. Wish we would have left at the first signs of no masks being worn. Beware for takeout too! Please train your staff in food safety, we are in the midst of a pandemic!

Love it here. The bartender Lauryn(the tiny girl with long dark haired) is absolutely amazing. She is always super nice and attentive and is always smiling and makes you feel very welcome.

Loved every thing about the remodel. Service and food was outstanding!!!

A few friends and I came out for drinks and snacks. Our bartenders were Jenna and Ashely (I think, lol) they were great! Our food was so good, try the cheesesteak egg rolls with horsey sauce (yum!). I definitely like it here and would come back again!

The bartenders are AMAZING! The servers are friendly and the food is outstanding. By far my favorite establishment in the area with daily specials and so much night life.

I was here 7 months ago using a different user name. It was good then and I gave 5 stars. There are always different waitresses and then cooks. The food quality went downhill. I will never go back!

Amazing place for good drinks, food and entertainment.

Took my son out for his birthday... The all you can eat crab legs were very good.. But after a few orders we were told that they were running out of crab legs although she just let the man at the table next to us order all you could eat crab legs. Then she came back and said we could order now. Then when the bill came I had questioned the waitress because i had called in eatlier and spoke with a man and he had told me that the price for the crab legs were 25.95.. And our bill was 35.95 each. I don't understand why when i called it was one thing and then here it was another. The food was very good.. Just disappointing on the wait between servings and the rest that i said above.

Staff not wearing masks. <= original review. Let my clear some stuff up. Pre pandemic I went to black Jax around 8 times. Both eat in and take out. The food was okay. The staff were very nice. I would avoid crab leg night cause it’s not worth the money. During the pandemic I ordered food and hand sanitizer from black Jax because I wanted to support a local business. Now as of june 21st black Jax’s owner named dave has posted comments on Facebook about staff not wearing masks. This is not safe and there is potential for disease to spread at this establishment. As a health care worker, I do not want to expose my patients to any unnecessary danger. So I will no longer be eating or getting take out from this restaurant. So yes I have visited your restaurant on multiple occasions. It is below average when it comes to restaurants in the area and the no mask thing just makes me wonder what other corners are being cut when it comes to cleanliness. Everyone please be safe and stay healthy

Great food. Great place to watch a game at. Friendly service, nice atmosphere. Try the crab balls or the loaded fries with the crab meat.

I lived about a mile away from this place for about a year and I've never eaten at it until about a month ago. Since then I've eaten there five times. Are outdoor seating is excellent and it's very enjoyable if you don't want to sit inside and want some fresh air especially after being cooped up most of the summer at most places. The staff is very friendly and the food is amazing especially a pulled pork sandwich and the cheese steak. Fries are amazing as well. Great fresh salads as well! Love the service the food the location and the seating. Highly recommended if you want to sit outdoors and enjoy the weather with a nice awning over your head with fans. Will be back this weekend!

I cannot explain enough how bad my experience was. My parents recently threw me a sweet 16 party at this place. I will not say I did not have a good time, but I will certainly say that the service was bad, and that the owner was rude to my mother. People were still setting up for the party, when guests were arriving, the bartender was very rude to my family members, they gave us sour milk, the linen was not even set up either. When my mother complained about the issues, all we got was a lousy apology letter, and two gift cards that added up to 65 dollars. Wow! Thank you so much! That is not even a quarter of what my parents spent for my party.There are more things to complain about, but so you keep getting business, I will stop there.

Went early for dinner on a Saturday (4:40), no server on duty, just bartender. Several tables were there plus a few people at the bar. We ordered our food around 5:00. Had some appetizers, my salad came out WITH the meal. The steak was supposed to be medium, came out rare and very fatty. We ordered 3 lemonades @ 2.49 each, bill came and we were charged for 10 lemonades (refills were free). Husband was going to pay the bill without even looking at it. That's over $17.00 for drinks we didn't even order. BEWARE of your bill when dining here. I also ordered a margarita on the rocks with salt - server brought it over and said they were out of salt. She should've asked before making it if I still wanted it. It did not taste the same. Very unhappy with this place.

Stopped in Sunday around 3:00 pm. We sat at a table next to the bar for 10 minutes.The waitress walked by us at least 5 times and never stopped. Bartender was carrying on a conversation and never looked up. We left very disappointed.

Awesome food. Friendly staff, cute bartenders. I ordered the pulled pork Fries with sweet potato fries. OMG! Out if this world good! I love this place. The atmosphere is very laid back casual, yet still 5 star.

I was just there for a wedding reception and the food was absolutely DELICIOUS !!!! The service and staff were EXCELLENT!!! I sat with the owners Dave and Blair and they were absolutely wonderful hosts, and I was delighted to have shared a table with both of them! I will be going there again, and I highly recommend this to everyone! TERRIFIC restaurant, event room, huge outdoor deck and bar. I would recommend this to anyone to have their reception/wedding there or a really great hangout!

They upgraded their menu and the inside! Nice big bar on the inside of the restaurant with surrounding tables. Outside in the warmer weather always brings a nice ambiance. This place is definitely more of a "bar scene" but good food and friendly service.
